Former TCHS head coach to be inducted into Hall of Fame

Former Taylor County High School (TCHS) Head Football Coach Elmer Coker will be inducted into the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA) “Hall of Fame” during a ceremony set for Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, in Daytona Beach.

In honor of his 1977 Taylor County team’s state championship runner-up finish and the fact that Coker will become the first Taylor County coach to be inducted into FACA’s Hall of Fame, the Taylor County School District will honor Coker and his family with a banner to be hung on the press box at Dorsett Stadium during halftime of the Bulldogs’ upcoming playoff game on Friday, Nov. 15.
