Ratliff will not run

Taylor County Property Appraiser Bruce Ratliff has announced he will not seek a fourth term in 2020, becoming the first local incumbent to decline to seek re-election in the upcoming 2020 race.

In a letter addressed “To the people of Taylor County” and sent to Perry Newspapers on Wednesday, Ratliff stated, “It has been a pleasure and honor to serve as Property Appraiser for the last 11 years.”
