14-year-old caught with gun at school

A 14-year-old Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) student caught with an unloaded handgun at school Friday morning told investigators he hoped to use the gun to “scare” an older student who was allegedly threatening him.

“He told the deputy he had the gun for his own protection,” Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) Det. Gina Deeson said.
