The steel columns that will be used to reinforce the front facade of the Perry Police Department building are slated to be installed today (Wednesday).

City officials said they hope the project will “buy us some time” as they look for a more long-term solution regarding issues with the building, which include structural concerns and crumbling mortar between the brick.
