Downtown will light up for Christmas on Dec. 6

    Posted on December 4, 2019

The Taylor County Historical Society, which is helping coordinate the Downtown Christmas Open House, will have the latest edition of its calendar series available for purchase during the event Friday. Volunteers Jaymie “Rain” Devos (left) and Carol Slaughter got a sneak peek of the finished product Tuesday. Calendars will also be available for purchase at Rain’s Train Stop Flower Shop, located in the Old Depot.

The public is invited downtown to spread some cheer and be merry this Friday night (Dec. 6), as Downtown Perry is transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

Christmas lights have been strung with care all along Jefferson Street, lighting the way for locals to “Shop the Blocks,” as Santa’s little helpers will prance through downtown Perry as Taylor County prepares for “the most wonderful time of the year.”
