William Dustin “Dusty” Knight, 30, passed away on December 1, 2019, in Greenville.
Dusty
was born July 23, 1989, in Perry to William Franklin Knight and Cherie Perry
Rowell.
Dusty was of the
Baptist faith and was a member of Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
Dusty was a graduate of the Taylor County High School class of 2007, where he played football and baseball. He was a supervisor with TKO Construction.
Dusty
enjoyed the outdoors on the water, either fishing or knee boarding and skiing.
He loved his family, friends and friends that were family. Hard candy and red
licorice were his favorite sweet treats.
Dusty was
preceded in death by his father William Franklin Knight, his paternal
grandparents Bernice Knight and Ella Mae Hendry and his maternal grandmother
Saundra Ann Douglas.
Dusty is
survived by his wife Catrina Wilson Knight; his daughter Harleigh Reign Knight
and his son William Lee Knight; his mother Cherie Rowell (Art); sisters Stormie
Knight and Alyssa Kalee Rowell and one brother Lance Rowell (Bobbie); nieces,
Breley and Bailey Rowell and nephews Landon Lewis, Beau Rowell and Brody Rece;
maternal grandparents Jimmy and Sybil Perry; sister-in-laws Destiny Wilson and
Tamara Rece (Andrew); a very special friend Benjamin Brannen; as well as a host
of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services
will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of
Perry with Elder Gary Blanton officiating. Interment services will follow at
Carlton Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday,
December 6, 2019, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry. All arrangements are under
the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
