    Big Bend anglers may get to keep 5 trout

    When the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) meets next week in Panama City, it will consider a sweeping series of new spotted seatrout rules that have been met with strong opposition from local tourism officials and fishing charter captains, as well as the Taylor County Commission.

    The state wildlife agency’s staff are recommending FWC commissioners pass a modified version of the draft rule approved in October — one which includes most of the new restrictions with one exception.
