Contraband drone drop foiled

A Pensacola man was arrested last week after being caught on camera using a drone while attempting to drop more than two dozen cell phones, SIM cards and cigarettes over the fence at the local prison.

Malcolm Thomas Major, 32, was charged with introduction of contraband, possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Taylor County Jail on Monday, Nov. 25, and was released the following day after posting a $7,000 bond.
