Hardy Edward Cruce

Hardy Edward Cruce, 90, passed away on Dec. 5, 2019.

Edward was born March 1, 1929, in Perry to Luther Edward Cruce and Thelma Durden Cruce.

Hewas retired from the University of Florida after working for more than 20 years as a maintenance man. He attended Calvary Baptist Church of Alachua.

Edward was preceded in death by: his parents, Luther and Thelma Cruce; his wife, Charlotte Ann; two brothers; and one sister.

He is survived by: his daughter Charlene Rhoden (Lonnie); four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, five brothers; and one sister; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 11:30 a.m. at Pineview Memorial Cemetery with Brother Cooter McCray officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11-11:30 a.m., at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
