“It takes years to earn the public’s trust, but only a momentary lack of good judgement to lose it,” City Manager Taylor Brown said this week in reference to the City of Perry’s decision to terminate three police officers, two of which resigned prior to being dismissed.
“As city manager, my most important responsibility is to ensure that the city government earns and maintains the trust of its citizenry. To accomplish this, everyone associated with the organization — be they elected, appointed or employed — needs to be held to the highest ethical standards,” Brown told Perry Newspapers on Thursday.
