Sex, drugs and suicide claims are investigated

The Perry Police Department (PPD) has lost nearly an entire shift of officers in the wake of three separate internal investigations stemming from a single officer’s suicide attempt back in July.

PPD K-9 Officer Chad Cannon was notified of his dismissal from the force on Wednesday, Dec. 18, following a lengthy and exhaustive internal affairs investigation.
