Seifert files to run for state attorney

In the wake of State Attorney Jeff Siegmeister’s unexpected resignation last month, Lake City attorney Christina Nieto Seifert has filed to run to fill the seat this year.

Siegmeister’s sudden move, effective Dec. 23, was announced to staff members in Third Circuit offices located in Taylor, Columbia, Suwannee, Hamilton, Madison, Dixie and Lafayette counties on Monday, Dec. 16.
