Bonnie Ruth
Pettitt, 87, passed away on January 16, 2020, in Perry. Bonnie was born
September 16, 1932, in Tillman, S.C., to William Henry Baggett and Sadie Mae
Edenfield Baggett.
Mrs. Pettitt was of the Baptist faith and was a
long-time member of First Baptist Church of Perry. Mrs. Pettitt was a devoted
wife and loving Christian mother. She will be greatly missed.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of
68 years, Mr. Raymond Paul Pettitt, her parents William Henry and Sadie Mae
Baggett.
Mrs. Pettitt is survived by his children,
Ronald P. Pettitt, Deborah (Henry, Jr.) Richard, James Pettitt, and Christopher
Pettitt; her sister Gayle (Michael) Phillips; grandchildren, Henry L. (Crystal)
Richard, III “Richie,” and Crystal Pettitt; great-grandchildren Christian and
Colbie Richard and Ariana and Christopher Pettitt; as well as a host of nieces
and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday,
January 20 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Perry with Pastor Steven Ruff
officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterwards in Woodlawn
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, January 19
at Burns Funeral Home of Perry and again on Monday, at First Baptist Church of
Perry, one hour prior to the service. All arrangements are under the direction
of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
