Sharron G. Dorman, 77,
passed away on January 16, 2020, in Perry. Sharron was born December 21, 1942,
in Mayo to Lester James Grantham and Doris Lee Grantham.
Sharron was of the Presbyterian faith and a
member of First Presbyterian Church of Perry where she also served as an Elder
for many years. Sharron was the Owner/ Operator of Sister’s Mercantile and Tea
Room and worked as a Bookkeeper with Ford Motor Company. She was
a member of the Perry Woman’s Club and also a member of the Red Hats Society
of Perry.
Sharron was preceded in death by her parents
Lester James Grantham and Doris Lee Grantham. Her husband Vince Dorman.
Sharron is survived by her son Glenn and his
wife Kim Young, daughter Amalia and her husband Jeff Barrett, one brother
Joe and his wife Peggy Grantham and her sister Carolyn Tuten. Sharron has two
grandchildren Ethan and his wife Laura Young and Whitney and her husband Tanner
Schwab and five great grandchildren, Cullen, Emma, Caroline, Kimber and
Kinsley. As well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January
21, 2020, at 11 a.m. at The First Presbyterian Church of Perry with Larry
Neal and Pastor Natasha Sudderth-Davis officiating. The family will receive
friends after the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns
Funeral Home of Perry.
