David Thomas Pate Jr.

Mr. David Thomas Pate Jr., 85, passed away on January 22, 2020. David was born November 21, 1934, in LaGrange, Ga., to Mr. David Pate Sr. and Sadie Pate.

David honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Prior to moving to Perry from Tampa, he was the Director of Management Information Systems for Circle K Corporation. After retiring, he moved to Perry where he and his wife Edwina Graves-Pate were the owner/operators of Graves Drive-In restaurant for the past 28 years.

David was preceded in death by his parents David and Sadie Pate and two sisters.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mrs. Edwina Pate; two children Brad Pate and Susan O’Connor and her husband Richard; four grandchildren Sarah, Richard, Madison and Daniel O’Connor; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25 at 11 a.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Pastor Eddie Pridgeon. The family will receive friends at Crosspoint Baptist Fellowship immediately following the service. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
