Dunnell, Glover spar over new football coach

A “no” vote on the appointment of Eddie Metcalf as the new head coach for the Taylor County High School Bulldogs led to a terse exchange between Metcalf’s former brother-in-law, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Danny Glover Jr., and school board member Deidra Dunnell at Tuesday night’s regular meeting of the school board.

Dunnell stated she voted against the appointment because she was “staying consistent with my concerns I’ve expressed in the past with recommendations due to nepotism.”
