The City of Perry has adopted a resolution authorizing staff to begin the process of applying for a loan that will help finance a portion of an estimated $2 million-plus replacement of water filters at the city’s water treatment plant.
At the city’s Jan. 14 meeting, council members voted 4-0 in favor of a resolution designating City Manager Taylor Brown as the authorized representative to apply for a loan with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) and commit city water system revenues toward repayment of the debt service on the loan.
