Planning board will hear variance requests from marina developers

The developers behind a new marina complex in Steinhatchee will appear before the Taylor County Planning Board next week, seeking a total of nine variances to the county’s land development code.

The planning board approved five of the variances submitted by Steinhatchee Marina at Deadman’s Bay, LLC back in October, but adjacent landowners Don and Michele Curtis appealed that decision to the Taylor County Commission
