Knowles runs for clerk seat

In the wake of longtime Taylor County Clerk of Court Annie Mae Murphy’s announcement that she will not seek an eighth term in office, Deputy Clerk Gary Knowles Jr. has filed to run for the seat.

Knowles is running as a Republican and becomes the 22nd local candidate to file to run this year for a county or city seat. There are currently no other candidates running for clerk of court.
