School board signs off on ‘13-14 budget

The Taylor County District School Board approved its 2013-14 tentative budget Tuesday during a public hearing at which no one from the public offered any comments.

The board approved 4-0 its $37.6 million budget along with its property tax millage rates, which are set to stay the same, except for a very slight decrease in the required local effort millage, which is set by the state. (School board member Darrell Whiddeon was not present at the meeting.)
