Commission approves a new commercial solid waste contract with Waste Pro that includes 9% rate increase

The Taylor County Commission has approved a new contract with Waste Pro to provide commercial solid waste collection services for some 200 businesses in the unincorporated area of the county.

The previous contract is set to expire at the end of the month, and Waste Pro was the only company to bid on providing the service when the county advertised the opportunity late last year.
