The Taylor County School Board has adopted a policy that will give local companies a preference when bidding on providing goods or services to the local school district – if they come within three percent of the overall lowest, non-local price.
No one from the public spoke during the public hearing held on the proposed policy at the Jan. 21 school board meeting, and the motion to approve the new policy passed unanimously.
