Register runs for property appraiser

Shelton Jerry Register Sr. has filed to run for Taylor County Property Appraiser, becoming the third person in the race to replace Bruce Ratliff, who announced he will not seek re-election in 2020.

Register, who is running as a Republican, joins Abbey Lundy Tharpe (running with no party affiliation) and Republican Shawna Beach.
