    Tommy Wayne Luther

    Tommy Wayne Luther, 61, of Perry passed away on Feb. 3, 2020, in Perry. Tommy was born April 30, 1958, in Piedmont, 
    S.C., to Earl Thomas Luther and Bonnie Ruth Harris Luther. He attended and graduated from Taylor County High School where he played football.

    Luther was of the Baptist faith and worked as an electrician with Watkins Construction, Buckeye Cellulose and the University of Florida for a combined 40 years. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, who in his spare time, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Bonnie Luther.He is survived by: his wife of 42 years, Susie Ann Luther; one son, Joseph Luther, and wife, Heather; two daughters, Sadie Davis, and husband, Jody, and Hannah Grambling, and husband, Bryan, all of Perry; a brother, Kevin Luther, and wife, Deanna; a sister, Connie Davis, and husband, Russ, all of Perry; and six grandchildren, Gabrielle, Garrett, Ariel, Lilly, Lylah and Harley; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, in the Burns Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Brother Tommy Lundy officiating. Interment will follow in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends today (Wednesday) from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home. All arrangements are under the care of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
