Support for toll road wanes

Since the Suncoast Parkway Connector was approved by the Florida Legislature last year, members of the Taylor County Commission have generally spoken in favor — albeit with reservations — of the proposed 150-mile toll road that will likely pass through Taylor County if it is built.

Now, on the eve of the Suncoast Connector Task Force’s fourth meeting in Madison, many of those same commissioners are speaking less favorably about the project, with Commission Chair Pam Feagle, who represents the county on the task force, stating emphatically that she is against the project during the board’s most recent meeting on Monday
