Stanley Otis Carlton, 63, passed away on Feb. 3, 2020, in Perry.
He was born July 2, 1956, in Perry to William Carlton and Pauline Simpson Carlton.
Stan was of the Baptist faith and worked as a commercial fisherman and in the construction industry his entire life. He loved the outdoors and his Florida State University (FSU) Seminoles.
He was preceded in death by: his parents, William Carlton and Pauline Simpson Carlton Davis; his stepfather, Rufus L. “Bud” Davis; and four brothers, Richard, Thomas, John Hendry and Jim.
Stan is survived by: his wife of 34 years Melissa “Misty” Carlton; his daughter, Mandy Brooks and her, husband Jason; one stepdaughter, Niki Matthews, and her fiancé, Ashley; his brother, William “Bill” Carlton; and his sister, Mattie Touchton; and three grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today (Friday) at noon at Antioch Revival Center with Brother Crickett Watson officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 11 a.m. To noon, at the church.
