Community rallying behind PPD officer awaiting transplant

A 10-year veteran with the Perry Police Department (PPD) is fighting for his life, battling congestive heart failure and facing a heart transplant.

Det. Bill Murray was airlifted to Shands in Gainesville at the end of January with congestive heart failure. Further testing determined he is in need of a heart transplant.
