Ealum starring in ‘Spamalot’ at Quincy Music Theatre

    Posted on February 14, 2020

Taylor County native Chelsea Ealum will be on stage this weekend and next in Quincy Music Theatre’s production of “Monty Python’s Spamalot.”

Ealum will be portraying the Lady of the Lake in the show, which opens tonight (Friday) and runs through Feb. 23.

“Lovingly ripped off” from the classic film comedy “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” the musical retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits and French people.

The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs.

“The outrageous, uproarious and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will delight audiences as they search for the Holy Grail and always look on the bright side of life,” organizers said.

    Showtimes will be Feb. 14-15 and 21-22 at 7:30 p.m. and Feb. 16 and 22-23 at 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors and $15 for students and military personnel.
