    Patricia ‘Pat’ Anne Mathis

    Patricia “Pat” Anne Mathis, 77, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Feb. 16, 2020 in Perry.

    Pat was born May 9, 1942, in Foley to H.P. Padgett and LillieBelle Howell Padgett.

    Mrs. Mathis was a member of Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church where she served in the kitchen for many years, making sure the kids had plenty to eat, even sending some home with them.

    Pat was a devoted wife to her husband for 59 years; she was a loving, dear mother to her children, a loving Granny Pat and PatPat, who enjoyed spoiling her grandbabies and great grandbabies, spending as much time as she could with them all.

    Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, H.P. and LillieBelle Padgett.

    Mrs. Mathis is survived by: her husband, Billy Mathis; her children, Charlene Russell, Tim Mathis, and Michelle McNutt; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Annabelle, William, Jewel, Lillie, Willa and Bella; seven great-grandchildren, Ryder, Marley, Penny, Gunner,  Maddie, Elese and Emyah; and her sisters-in-love, Mary Frances Crow, Ruby Williams, Barbara Jean Mathis, Linda Russell and Kamala Snow; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother Tommy Lundy officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Pisgah Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m., at the funeral home.
