NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR QUOTES FOR COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICE ROOF FASTENER REPLACEMENT
The Taylor County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting quotes for the following roof renovations:
Furnish all labor, material, equipment and insurance necessary to complete the described work at the Taylor County Extension Office located on the Forest Capital Park site, 203 Forest Park Dr., Perry, Florida 32348.
Scope of Work generally includes removing and replacing existing roofing metal fasteners with larger diameter fasteners. The fasteners will be replaced on the entire upper roof of the Extension Office building, approximately 19,400 sf. This building has an eave height of 24 feet and will require a lift properly equipped with a bucket or man-basket of some type for safe access. The roof is a typical straight gable construction with an approximate 2:12 pitch and is vented in its entirety at its ridge.
Qualified firms or individuals desiring to provide the required services may obtain a quote form from the Taylor County Building Department, located at 201 East Green Street, Perry, Florida 32347. The deadline for submittal of quote forms is 5:00 P.M., local time, on Friday, March 27, 2020.
The County reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to reject any or all proposals, to cancel or withdraw this request for proposals at any time and waive any irregularities in the proposal process. The County reserves the right to award any contract to the respondent which it deems to offer the best overall service; therefore, the County is not bound to award any contract based on the lowest quoted price. The County, in its sole and absolute discretion, also reserves the right to waive any minor defects in the process and to accept the proposal deemed to be in the County’s best interest. The County, in its sole and absolute discretion, also reserves the right to assign a local business preference in a maximum amount of five (5) percent of the proposed price(s), under the conditions set forth in Ordinance 2003-12. No faxed proposals will be accepted.
