Lessly Earl Coulliette

Lessly Earl Coulliette, 76, went to be with his Savior on Feb. 29, 2020, in Tallahassee.

Lessly was born April 8, 1943 in Malone (Fla.) to Wiley Solomon Coulliette and Ila Mae Granthum Coulliette.

He was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he was the past treasurer for many years. He would help assist his wife, Eunice, serving in the kitchen at the churches they attended at various church functions. He was also instrumental in helping with the new construction at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Midway Baptist Church when they did their renovations.

Lessly honorably served his country in United States Army. He was a big Florida State University (FSU) fan who enjoyed farming, and, when he was younger, a little hunting and fishing.

His greatest treasure on earth was his family, in which he was a devoted husband, a loving daddy and the world’s best Grandpa.

He is preceded in death by: a daughter, Jessica Coulliette; his parents, Wiley Solomon and Ila Mae Coulliette; his brothers, Jimmy and Mack Coulliette; and a sister, Martha Renaud.

Lessly is survived by: his loving wife of 39 years, Eunice Coulliette; his daughter, Crissy (Pastor Ben) Reams; his sons, Lee (Whitney) Coulliette and Matt (Jamie) Coulliette; his sisters, Reba Aman, Juanita Sever, Tina Brooks and Deborah Green; his grandchildren, Braden, Caleb, Eva, Nathaniel, Gabriel, Cameron, Mattison, Aubrie, Kayden and Layne; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and many good friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Danny Lundy, Pastor Ben Reams and Pastor Harold Reams officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery immediately afterward. There will be a visitation today (Wednesday) from 5-8 p.m. at Joe P. Burns Funeral Home Perry Chapel, which is in charge of all arrangements.
