County opposes FDOT median closure

The Taylor County Commission is supporting a local business owner in his dispute with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) over a median crossing on U.S. 19.

At their meeting Monday, the commissioners voted unanimously to send a letter to FDOT voicing their opposition to the state agency’s plan to remove the crossing in question located at 7174 U.S. 19 South, adjacent to an RV park under development by local business owner Mark Moneyhan, Sr.
