Charles Hardy
Keller, 76, passed away on March 3, 2020, in Tallahassee. Hardy was born March
7, 1943, in Blackshear, Ga., to Merle Keller and Mary Woodall Keller.
Hardy honorably served our country in the
Florida Army National Guard. Mr. Keller was a Christian of the
non-denominational faith and attended the House of Prayer Church.
Hardy was a rural
letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Taylor County for 26 years,
retiring in 2007. Hardy received an Associate Degree in agriculture from the
University of Florida. He loved his farm, where he would tend to his garden and
raise cows and hogs. He was also a chicken farmer for Strain Poultry for 18
years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Merle
and Mary Keller and a sister Betty Winters.
Hardy is survived by his wife of 44 years,
Kathleen Keller; his children, Charles “Little Hardy” Keller, Jr. (Tina), John
Thomas Browning (Missy), Kathy Morgan (Phillip), and Tonia Sprow; his sister
Nancy Morgan (Bill); his grandchildren, Jennifer, Katie, Crystal, Ashlea,
Michael, Victoria, Jacqueline, Nicholas, and Ava Grace; great-grandchildren,
Maylynn, Abbigail, Allissa, Jaxeon, Truitt, Brentlee, Oaklee and Huntlee; as
well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday,
March 7 at 1 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Bro. B.B. Barwick and
Bro. Cricket Watson officiating. Interment services will follow immediately
afterwards at the Keller Farm.
The family will
receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, March 6 at Burns Funeral Home of
Perry. All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
