    Posted on March 11, 2020

Congressman Neal Dunn will join local Taylor County officials and railroad representatives at Rosehead Park in downtown Perry on Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m. for a ribbon cutting that will officially mark the start of a $17 million railroad track upgrade here.

Officials for OmniTRAX, Inc., one of the fastest-growing transportation companies in North America and an affiliate of The Broe Group, as well as its subsidiary the Georgia & Florida Railway, LLC (GFRR), will be on hand to break ground on the “Competitiveness and Employment by Rail Project.” The project will rebuild 81 miles of railroad track connecting Perry to Adel, Ga., and is expected to be completed by early 2021.
