‘Park host’ wanted

The Taylor County Commission is offering a free camping spot at Hampton Springs Park in exchange for a volunteer agreeing to care for and watch over the county-owned historic site.

The commission approved the “park host” plan back in 2018, and is now seeking to finally put that plan into operation. Over the past year, the county has been working to finish work on the RV camp site at the local park.
