    Ann Marie Jackson Hilliard

    Ann Marie Jackson Hilliard died March 11, 2020, in Perry.

    She was born in Chicago, Ill., in 1933 and was raised in Delaware, Ohio.

    She was preceded in death by: her parents, Wesley and Clara Jackson; her husband of 43 years, Dr. Ted Hilliard; and by her brother, Robert Jackson.

    Ann received her BA degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and her MA from the University of Tampa. She was a member of Eastern Star (50 years), Delta Kappa Gamma and Phi Delta Kappa. She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Perry.

    In Florida, Ann was the chairwoman of the Home Economics Department and director of the Laboratory Pre-School at Plant City High School in California. Ann was an administrator of Fresno County Schools.

    Ann loved to swim, cook, sew, design and decorate. She was an avid art collector, a world traveler and a proud Corvette owner for 40 years.

    Ann is survived by: her brother, Richard Jackson (Janet) of Durham, N.C.; daughters, Collette Hillard of New Orleans, La., and Sharon Hilliard of Perry; nephews, David, Joe, Scott, Tim and Keith; and nieces, Mary, Sue and Ann.

    Ann’s ashes will be interred in the family vault in the Key West Cemetery in Key West.
