School closures are extended to April 15

Late Tuesday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced the closing of all schools until April 15, as well as the suspension of all state testing for the 2019-20 school year.

The action was taken in response to the continuing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, with health officials now reporting 390 cases statewide and eight deaths due to the virus.
