By declaring a local state of emergency, the Perry City Council has afforded city staff greater flexibility to respond to the developing coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis.
Members adopted the declaration with a unanimous vote during a special meeting held Tuesday, and also supported sweeping recommendations that addressed everything from lobby closures to rotating shifts for city employees.
