    Michael Morris Smyrnios

    Mr. Michael Morris Smyrnios, 80, passed away on March 22, 2020, at his home in Steinhatchee.
    Mike was born Dec. 19, 1939, in Steinhatchee to Mr. Theodore Smyrnios and Mrs. Eddie Love Morris Smyrnios.
    Mike honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
    He was a Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Steinhatchee.
    He was a commercial fisherman and owned Steinhatchee Fish Company, which became one of the top five commercial fish companies in the state of Florida, with clientele from around the world.
    Mike was preceded in death by: his parents, Theodore and Eddie Love Smyrnios; and a son, Michael Gregory Smyrnios (Chopper).
    He is survived by: his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Martha Sue Smyrnios; children, Lorraine Davis, Dale Smyrnios, Jananlea England, Jerri Abercrumbie and Jim Pridgeon; grandchildren, Ashley Smyrnios, Brent Davis, Lillian England, Garrett England Jr. and Logan England; six step-grandchildren; siblings Gus Smyrnios, James Smyrnios, Niki Morgan, Manuel Smyrnios, Worth Edward Brown, Joel Brown, Ethel Brown, Tommy Brown, Angie Brown and Jim Day; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
    All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
