County forging ahead with Phase III of sports complex

The Taylor County Commission is moving forward with Phase III of the Taylor County Sports Complex, which will include the addition of a softball field and a baseball field, even though it does not appear there will be enough funds to complete the project as designed.

The commission received two bids for the project in June, both of which were “above what we anticipated,” County Engineer Kenneth Dudley said at the time.
