At this time, the Friends of the Taylor County Public Library’s 14th annual Short Story Contest is still scheduled to happen as previously announced with a deadline of Friday, April 17.
Short stories may be submitted by e-mail, by mail or placed in the library’s return “drop box” while the library is closed to the public.
Requests for copies of the short story contest rules and guidelines may be made by calling the library’s staff at 838-3512 or by writing to James B. Gross, President, The Friends of the Taylor County Public Library, c/o Taylor County Public Library, 403 N. Washington St., Perry, FL 32347.
All entries (including cover sheets and entry fees must be received before the announced deadline of Friday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m.)
This year’s contest is for creative short stories written by local authors of all ages (writer must be Taylor County Public Library cardholders).
There will be cash prizes for the winning short stories in each age category. The current schedule has winners being announced on Friday, June 5, with awards to be presented Monday, June 29.
