Tornados strike near Taylor-Jefferson border

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) responded to several calls of downed trees, but no injuries were reported resulting from one or more tornadoes that reportedly moved through the Jefferson-Taylor county line Tuesday afternoon.

Jefferson County Emergency Management reported two tornados “following each other” moved through the area south of Lamont in Jefferson County Tuesday afternoon.
