School board acts in photo incident, but punishments for students remain confidential

Action by the school board taken regarding students linked to photos with violent and racial overtones that circulated among Taylor County High School (TCHS) students in late February was not made public until late last month when the district posted its minutes from the meeting online.

Board members approved the minutes at their recent April 7 meeting. Per the district policy, the cases are identified merely by a case number. According the minutes, the board considered three cases during the closed hearing. The board voted in favor of expulsion in two of the three cases.
