Deputy facing internal investigation

The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) has suspended a deputy with pay pending the outcome of an internal investigation launched Wednesday surrounding the officer’s actions and use of force during a recent arrest.

According to TCSO Chief Deputy Marty Tompkins, the deputy has been placed on paid administrative leave until the internal affairs investigation is completed.
