Howard Aab, 91, passed away on April 10, 2020, in Perry at his daughter’s home surrounded by family. Howard was born June 29, 1928, in Windsor, Colo., to William Aab and Katherine Litchenwalt Aab.
Howard honorably served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, retiring after 20 years of service to his country.
Mr. Aab was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Colorado Springs. Howard was the plumbing inspector for the City of Colorado Springs for many years. In his spare time Howard enjoyed golfing, bowling and traveling. His passionate hobby was model trains and building their cities, paying attention to every little detail.
Howard was preceded in death by: his wife, Virginia Aab; his daughter, Barbara Paulsen; his parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Mr. Aab is survived by: his daughter, Linda (Lee) Ellison; his brother, Wilbur Aab; four granddaughters, Brandy, Amber, Robin and Sherry; grandson, Dustin; 10 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Aab will be interred in Colorado Springs, Colo., next to his wife of 55 years.
