    William Hendry “W.H.” Maddox

    Mr. William Hendry “W.H.” Maddox, 92, passed away on April 15, 2020, in Madison.

    W.H. was born March 13, 1928 in Clearwater to Seaborn Maddox and Annie Mae Morgan Maddox.

    Mr. Maddox was a member of Shady Grove Primitive Baptist Church. He loved his Lord and loved serving Him through music. He and Mrs. Maddox would start services off at many local churches singing beautiful old gospel songs. He was a Korean War Veteran and worked for the Taylor County Road Department for many years in Perry. He enjoyed his garden and loved his grandchildren. In their spare time when they could, he and Mrs. Maddox enjoyed fishing.

    W.H. was preceded in death by: his wife of 70 years, Ms. Glory Bryant Maddox; his parents, Seaborn Maddox and Annie Mae Morgan; and grandson, Joshua Price.

    He is survived by: his children, Marcialene Price (Geoff), and David Maddox (Rachel); his brother Randolph Maddox; three grandchildren, Ben, Ty and Geoffrey “Trace;” and one great-grandchild, Yeshua; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    A memorial service for Mr. W.H. Maddox will be held at a later date.

    All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry. In lieu of flowers, please give to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org.
