Although state and federal officials are continuing to work with private insurance providers to prepare new plans to comply with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), commonly referred to as Obamacare, only one company to date is set to offer individual insurance plans to Taylor County through the forthcoming federally-facilitated exchange, which is expected to go online in October.
Last week, the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation (OIR) released several documents summarizing products that have been accepted by the office that comply with the PPACA for sale in the individual health insurance marketplace beginning Jan. 1, 2014.
