    Virginia Mann Reddick

Virginia Mann Reddick, 87, died Tuesday morning, April 21, 2020, in Brownsburg, Ind., following a short illness.

Mrs. Reddick was born Sept. 28, 1932, in Sebring, Fla., to the late Rev. and Mrs. Dewey Mann.

Ginny, as she was known to family and friends, attended high school in Perry. She later married and spent many years to follow in Perry raising her children and enjoying being an important part of their active lives.

She was a vibrant part of the community of Perry and a member of First Baptist Church. Ginny later moved to Tallahassee where she worked for the Department of Tourism for the State of Florida.

Later in life, Ginny married Ralph Reddick, her high school sweetheart, spending her life with Ralph until his death in Thomaston, Ga.  While in Thomaston, Ginny’s life revolved around her husband, her church, Thomaston United Methodist, and their families.

Ginny enjoyed baking, gardening, singing, traveling and reading. She always brought life and light into every room she entered.

She was also known for her divinity candy at Christmas, as well as her pound cakes.

Though far apart, she enjoyed spending time with her sisters, Helen Mann Register, Betty Mann Hughes and her cousin, Nelda Mann Tarcai, over her lifetime.

In her later years, she became a resident of the Magnolia Manor Retirement Community in Saint Simons Island, Ga., where she was a joy to all who knew her.

Ginny’s love of life and her bright smile will be missed by all.

She is survived by: her daughter, Sally Ann Greene Williams, from Evansville, Ind.; her son, Ralph James Greene (Buzz) from Thomasville, Ga.; her sisters, Helen Register, in South Carolina, and Betty Hughes, in Florida; grandchildren, Joey Secoy and R.J. Secoy; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. and Mrs. Dewey Mann; and her husband, Ralph Reddick.

Services for Ginny will be announced at a later date with a graveside service in Perry, where her ashes will be buried next to her parents.
