Dixie Lee Jones Langford was born Oct. 27, 1940, in Chattanooga, Tenn., and died and entered Glory in her Cleveland home on early morning April 28, 2020.
Dixie will be missed by friends and colleagues at her former residences: Soddy Daisy and Chattanooga, Tenn., and those in Perry, Fla.
As a retired LPN from Soddy Daisy Healthcare, she enjoyed playing her weekly bingo games at the Soddy Daisy Senior Center, perusing local yard sales and visiting Cherokee Casino.
In addition, she held interests that included watching the Tennessee Vols, fishing, puzzling, entertaining and reminiscing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace B. Langford Jr.; and her sister, Barbara Anne Sobkiewicz.
She is survived by: her beloved brother, Jimmy Jones; her daughters, Janice, Beverly, Donna and Barbara; sons-in-law, Stephen, John and James; grandchildren Chris (Tonya), Tiffany (Chas), Brannon (Santisha), Emily, Molly, Shelby and Stephen; great-grandchildren, Jasper, Tanner, McKenzie, Marceline and Johanna; and a dear niece and several nephews.
A life-affirming memorial is to be scheduled later, post pandemic restrictions.
