County temporarily restricts boat ramp parking

Thursday morning a steady stream of boaters launched from the Keaton Beach and Steinhatchee public boat ramps, where Taylor County Sheriff’s Office deputies were stationed to assist with parking and ensure new temporary emergency capacity limits were followed.

The Taylor County Commission voted 3-2 Monday evening to re-open county-controlled boat ramps on Thursday, May 7 — more than a month after closing them in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
